Frost protection and climate control for 81000 sq m warehouse
POWRMATIC SUPPLIED a frost protection warehouse heating solution for an enormous 81,000 sq m building at Midland Logistic Park.

Phase Mechanical Projects carried out the installation, which consisted of 7x TE61 heating units and TE61 Destratification units.
The industrial logistics warehouse required frost protection to maintain temperatures of -5 deg C externally and +5 deg C internally. The goal was to ensure a cool environment, especially during the long hot summers in the southern region.
Phase Mechanical Projects, one of Powrmatic's trusted partners, installed the largest air rotation heaters to date. Four TEG61 units were used, with an impressive 525kW of heat output each. To assist with air turnover in the spacious building, three TE61 destratification units were also installed. The selected TEG61 heaters were designed to move 39m3/s of air per unit, and when combined with the TE61 destratification units at the same air volume, a total of 270m3/s was achieved. This fulfilled the client's requirement of 0.8 air movements per hour.
Air rotation units
Expertly installed by Phase Mechanical Projects, the Powrmatic Air rotation units featured the newly styled design in a sleek RAL 7015 colour. This installation now provides frost protection for the racked logistic warehouse, safeguarding the internal sprinkler system from freezing during colder months. It's worth noting that each T.E unit manufactured by Powrmatic is custom-built to meet specific project requirements, ensuring optimal performance.
Overall, Powrmatic's solution successfully addressed the frost protection needs of the expansive warehouse, offering reliable heating and maintaining the required temperature parameters.
