Twin Push Tray sorter released

Dutch sorting machine manufacturer EuroSort has followed the release of its single push tray sorter with a newly developed Twin Push Tray sorter.

The basic principle of the push tray sorter is a sorting machine that pushes off a great variety of products from a tray with sideways control, after which the product is collected by gravity in a chute or where the product slides via the chute directly into a container, carton, bag or crate.
EuroSort developed the single push tray further into a Twin Push Tray in which two or more separately activated pushers are mounted on each carrier. This development has resulted in different techniques that have been patented.
Competitors with the Twin Push Tray are sorting machines with higher capacities, that are used for large articles, such as the cross belt or tilt tray. The Twin Push Tray can be used for a wide variety of products and in an environment where high capacity is required and a variety of both small and large articles. The machine fills the gap in the market between on the one hand the single push and on the other the cross belt/tilt tray, while the lower capacity segment can be served, from 2,500 pieces per hour.
The big difference between the Twin pusher and single pusher is the double capacity for small products and the high standard capacity for large products. The smallest product is 20 x 20 x 2mm while maximum size of the biggest product can be 800 x 600 x 500mm.
For heavier articles and packages a special design is available that is said to be unique for this type of machine. Here weights of 25kg per carrier at a speed of 1m/s are feasible, so this type is perfect for use in the postal and package industry.
Because of the patent protection this machine is only available from EuroSort Systems bv. The company is exhibited at the upcoming CeMAT in Hannover – Hall 27 stand E15.
The Twin Push Tray sorter has a number of key properties:
• Combinations of small and large articles on the same machine give a high net sorting capacity.
• The sorter can push from inside to outside or from outside to inside without loss of capacity.
• Speeds up to 1.3 m/s and capacities of 2,500 to 18,000 trays per hour.
• Pusher bar is suspended centrally under the tray to eliminate tilting (jamming of the guide).
• Pusher bar is supported on two sides for very stable operation (patented) instead of the universally used single-sided suspension.
• Product weight up to 25kg at 1 m/s.
• Quiet: 68dba.
• Low energy consumption.
• Easy to change trays without using tools.
• Open tracks for ease of inspection and cleaning.
• Tray dimensions are built to customer specifications at customer’s request (no fixed sizes).
• All layouts possible, vertical, horizontal, L ,U, W shapes.
