CEVA in French eComm JV
FNAC DARTY and CEVA Logistics have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture with the ambition of building a major European player in the eComm logistics and SaaS marketplace sector.
The envisaged cooperation would take the form of a 50-50 joint venture between Fnac Darty and CEVA Logistics, operational from 2024, subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
The JV, Weavenn, will offer a fully integrated service combining marketplace technology solutions and logistics for multi-channel distribution, covering management of marketplaces, direct sales to consumers and omnichannel delivery. The JV combines Fnac Darty’s network of nearly 1,000 shops, and the CEVA Logistics fulfilment platform, Shipwire.
Over the next 5 years, the JV is expected to generate sales in excess of €200 million, with a double-digit operating margin.
