Dedicated training

Purchasing Management Services (PMS) has a dedicated training facility in the centre of York where it offers 2 and 3 day training courses in stores and warehouse management, stock control and purchasing.

Training is delivered in a lively and engaging manner by presenters with a wealth of real-world experience.

HSBC, Panasonic, Toyota, The Royal Mint, Heinz and Eurostar are among the businesses who use PMS for training supply chain personnel.

Managing director, Gareth Roden says: “Theory is fine but what we want is for attendees to come on our courses and then immediately apply that knowledge in their job.

“We want stores and warehouse personnel to increase stock accuracy, reduce stock losses and control surplus and obsolete inventory. We want purchasing people to negotiate better deals and improve supplier delivery performance.

“We make everyone comfortable providing a very positive atmosphere in which to learn. Whether the attendee is a logistics director or forklift truck driver, we cater for all levels.

“We are internationally renowned for providing no-nonsense, practical training that has an immediate application in the workplace.”
