DPD opens Notts DC and Barking depot
The parcel firm relocated its Nottingham depot to a new 60,000 sq ft distribution centre at Blenheim Park Road, while the parcel carrier has also opened a new purpose-built 45,200 sq ft depot in Barking – a new location for the company.

The new facility will cover a more optimum delivery area, accommodating 133 new delivery routes and ensure the operation can handle the parcel volume growth predicted in the area through to 2025.
In addition to staff moving across from the old site, 209 new jobs will be created when the new distribution centre is fully operational.
Barking: SEGRO Park, Spur Road, Barking, IG11 7SD
DPD will create up to 175 jobs at its new, purpose-built 45,207 sq ft depot in Barking, which is a new location for the company. The new depot is located with excellent access to road networks, enabling DPD to increase its delivery capacity within the M25 and across East London. The new depot will service 149 new delivery routes.
