Huge Doncaster warehouse for Eddie Stobart
BENTALLGREENOAK HAS signed contracts with Mulberry Developments to deliver a 1.1 million sq ft logistics campus in Doncaster for Eddie Stobart, part of the Culina Logistics Group.
The campus, located at J34 of the A1M, will comprise two separate, BREEAM Excellent, 18m high, cross-docked 565,000 sq.ft. warehouses that will be delivered to Eddie Stobart in the middle of 2022.
“We are delighted to have been able to work in close partnership with the excellent teams at Mulberry and Eddie Stobart to deliver this large and innovative transaction,” said BentallGreenOak managing director Gareth Purcell. “We continue to have high conviction in the UK logistics market with this deal representing our ninth acquisition in the last ten months with a total combined area of approximately 7m sq.ft.”
Culina Group acquired Eddie Stobart in July. The deal created a group with an overall turnover of more than £2.2 billion, a combined workforce of around 22,000 staff, approaching 20 million square feet of warehousing and a joint fleet of more than 5,500 vehicles.
Eddie Stobart was recently appointed by Morrisons to provide transportation services from two distribution centres. This contract is additional to the work that Eddie Stobart currently carries out on behalf of Morrisons.
The three year contract will see Eddie Stobart manage all transport planning and deliveries of chilled and ambient groceries from the two locations to Morrisons’ network of supermarkets.
