Igus showcases multi-direction drives for automated warehouses

Igus combines drylin SLW linear technology with opposed rotating leadscrews to provide flexible and precise drive systems for automated warehouses.

Designed with right-hand and left-hand threads, with the exception of a few millimetres in the centre of the leadscrew, the entire length can be used for the stroke. This innovative leadscrew design also helps reduce costs where a second leadscrew is not required. The shuttle system can thus be used both for one- and two-sided parcel retrieving, and provides extra flexibility to handle boxes of various sizes.

Matching lubricant-free nuts with right-hand and left-hand threads are also available from stock.
