Increasing the flexibility of click and collect

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

MetaPack Group and InPost have joined forces in a bid to carve out a niche in the competitive UK click and collect market.

InPost runs a network of automated self-service parcel lockers and has over 1,000 collection points in the UK.

MetaPack’s technology helps retailers simplify the management of delivery services.

InPost has joined MetaPack’s delivery management platform. This means InPost’s automated parcel delivery service will be brought onto MetaPack’s Dynamic Delivery Options platform.

The addition of the InPost lockers enhances the platform’s flexibility to meet end customer demand, which by its very nature varies widely.

“We see huge potential for this delivery model alongside other alternatives such as Sunday service that will become available to retailers and their customers in coming months,” said Simon Croft, carrier account director at MetaPack.

Michelle De Pasquale, commercial director at InPost, added: “Our service, combined with MetaPack’s delivery management platform, will enable us to drive the growth of click and collect in the UK and help retailers ensure better customer experience.”
