LCP appoints retail, FMCG and Asia specialist

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

LCP Consulting has appointed Gareth Jenkins as Principal in the firm’s Retail and FMCG practices.

LCP clients include global foodservice manufacturers, the UK’s largest retailer, and 6 of the top 10 UK retailers. With LCP’s manufacturing practice rapidly expanding alongside its retail practice, the consultancy has continued to build on its capabilities and experience at both ends of the supply chain – providing clients with a market leading end-to-end solution.

Jenkins is a highly experienced supply chain consultant who has spent the last 20 years working with senior management in the world’s leading companies to develop and implement enhanced supply chain strategies. With extensive retail, petrochem and FMCG experience, Jenkins will work with LCP’s retail and manufacturing teams to develop end-to-end supply chain strategies and physical distribution network strategies.

For the last decade Jenkins has lived and worked in Asia Pacific. Prior to this, he led the development of Exxon Mobil’s Supply Chain review methodology and worked extensively for retail clients such as Wal-Mart, Marks & Spencer and Tesco.

John Lockton, Managing Director, LCP Consulting said: “Gareth’s extensive supply chain experience in both Retail and FMCG will complement our market leading end-to-end solution in both of these high growth sectors. We are also increasingly being called on by our clients to operate across the globe, so Gareth’s knowledge of Asia Pacific could be an invaluable asset to both LCP, and our clients.”
