SEC Storage wins two awards
SEC Storage has received high industry recognition for its project with Kuehne + Nagel Ltd after receiving two industry awards.
It won the New Facility award at the SHD Logistics Awards.
SEC Storage won alongside its client Kuehne + Nagel Ltd for a pallet racking, garment hanging and multitier rack supported picking structure at its site in Milton Keynes.
The judges said: “Kuehne + Nagel with SEC Storage discussed a project which brought logistical order and efficiency to the fast-moving and unpredictable environment that is fashion. The entry also demonstrated space charge savings in excess of 40%, and an increase in hanging capacity of 30%”.
The same project for SEC Storage was shortlisted in the Storage category at the IntraLogistics Awards.
The project received further praise winning the Bronze Award, presented to Dean Kahl, Marketing Coordinator.
“I’m absolutely delighted with both award wins,” commented Steve Watts, Managing Director. “It is just fantastic the project has received industry recognition on multiple occasions.
“It is further testament to the project and our teams’ hard work that this was selected by two completely different independent panel of judges.”
SEC Storage’s project with Maritime Transport also received a High Commendation in the Warehouse Efficiency category at the SHD Logistics Awards, for an innovative solution which enabled the installation of pallet racking onto a tarmac floor.
