CopriSystems adds additional loading space for Travis Perkins
08 August 2019
Builders’ merchants, Travis Perkins owns a number of smaller companies including Wickes. This business structure means forward planning is a must, particularly when it comes to managing space.
Both the Wickes and Travis Perkins brands sell products of all different shapes and sizes, which come from distribution centres operating 24/7. These operations constantly need more space and, with Wickes being more for the general public, e-commerce has also become a major part of the business.
Freeing up internal space for picking systems, conveyor belts and other necessary equipment resulted in the company needing to find more space to load and unload.
CopriSystems provided a solution by installing a number of different sized structures to suit the individual sites, taking into consideration the vehicle fleets and a very specific insurance requirement for sprinkler systems.
Thanks to the CopriSystems structures no products are left outside and no part of the operation will be placed in the elements. Forklifts running back and forth into the warehouse remain dry, preventing health & safety issues arising as a result of wet floor surfaces.
CopriSystems has also installed smaller canopies at Travis Perkins and Wickes retail stores.
