Anthony Grainger, a service technician with Demag Cranes & Components, has recently been awarded the prestigious Cyril McCauley Memorial Prize by the Lifting Equipments Engineers' Association (LEEA).

Grainger studied for the LEEA's Lifting Machines (Power) Diploma via a correspondence course, before sitting the examination, and his paper was the best submitted by 54 candidates worldwide. He received a certificate and a plaque from LEEA president, John Kilby, at the organisation's AGM in November.

"This is a tremendous achievement by Anthony,"says Gordon Baird, Demag's services director, "and we are committed to an ongoing programme of workforce training and education."
