Anthony Grainger, a service
technician with Demag Cranes &
Components, has recently been
awarded the prestigious Cyril
McCauley Memorial Prize by the
Lifting Equipments Engineers'
Association (LEEA).
Grainger studied for the LEEA's Lifting Machines (Power) Diploma via a correspondence course, before sitting the examination, and his paper was the best submitted by 54 candidates worldwide. He received a certificate and a plaque from LEEA president, John Kilby, at the organisation's AGM in November.
"This is a tremendous achievement by Anthony,"says Gordon Baird, Demag's services director, "and we are committed to an ongoing programme of workforce training and education."
