Best Retail Supply Chain Company by
the Institute of Transport
Management in its 2011 'Roll of
Honour'.
ITM awards are presented to innovative companies responsible for developing transport, with Import Services being recognised for its port-centric contribution to retail supply chain logistics in the UK.
Commenting on the reasons why Import Services was chosen, Philip Leung from ITM said: "Import Services offers best of breed portcentric logistics services from its base in Southampton, the first UK port of call for deep sea container ships.
Import Services demonstrates real understanding of the working procedures and systems requirements of retailers and their clients' supply chains, which extends to managing product flow from source, to shelf or direct to consumer, efficiently."
