The latest range of low-level order picking trucks from Toyota Material Handling sets new standards in efficiency and design.
The new series of low level order picking trucks have been designed with the operator in mind, allowing improvements in efficiency and productivity, plus a variety of options to suit specific applications.
In addition the new trucks are equipped with a range of new features including: new powerful AC motor, improved lift abilities with sensi-lift control and a more durable design, built with a smooth operator concept.
Sam Coles, commercial director of Toyota Material Handling UK commented: "The new BT Optio L Series of low level order picking trucks is impressive in its dedication to the applications and operators needs. This series is not only extremely adaptable to different warehouse designs but also supplies a high level of comfort and ergonomics to the operators, allowing higher levels of driveability and productivity."
With driveability and productivity at the forefront of design the smooth operator concept includes the option of Frequency-Adapted Suspension which helps eliminate vibration in applications where vibration is an issue as well as several standard features.
The Toyota E-man control system, which allows for easy and effortless driving incorporates an electric steering arm which can be positioned according to driving conditions, allowing driving at height or the ability to move the truck on from the ground in a walk beside position.
Low step in height, sure-step facility and strain reducing backrest increase operator comfort whilst streamline administration aims to provide an effective mobile office with front and rear storage.
In addition the L Series offers a choice of models with forks that can be elevated to 800 mm. OSE120 models offer handling capacities of 1200kg, lifting to an ergonomic waist-height handling position, while the heavy-duty OSE200X model can provide the same ergonomic lifting facility but also long forks and 2000kg capacity, enabling up to 4 roll cages to be handled on a single consignment.
Also, the standard low-lifting model OSE250, offers fork lengths up to 3375 mm, allowing up to 5 roll cages to be carried at a time. This provides operators with the ability to dramatically increase productivity levels due to the number of consignments that can be handled on a single picking run.
Sam added: "The BT Optio L Series has a solution for every need - the new motor ensures high level acceleration and maximum travel speed; Improved lift abilities on electric platform models supplies smooth precise elevation due to sensi-lift control and lowering is achieved by a foot pedal keeping hands free, finally the smooth operator concept puts ergonomics at the heart of the operation."
