finest manufacturing companies.
The first ever Made in Wales Awards attracted in excess of 57 nominations from manufacturing, creative and medical & life sciences companies across the country. The awards, organised by Insider, aim to raise the profile of great products and companies from Wales. Linde Heavy Truck Division won the Advanced Manufacturer category against stiff opposition from other shortlisted companies.
The judges praised LHTD for its advanced technology and manufacturing processes and improvements to its heavy forklift truck range. It has installed monitoring systems to evaluate how its machines perform.
Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan has urged Wales to promote itself to the world and is "inspired" by the country's manufacturing sector. Her comments came as she hailed Insider's inaugural Made in Wales Awards.
