with its headquarters in Lakeland,
Florida, Publix Super Markets is the
largest and fastest-growing employee
owned supermarket chain in the US.
The project will provide a state of the art automated frozen food storage and distribution facility, utilising the latest AS/RS and order fulfilment technology from Swisslog. It will ensure Publix can grow and continue to provide high levels of customer service in an efficient manner.
"This investment is consistent with our continuing strategy of improving systems and efficiencies that will ultimately reinforce the premier service our customers have grown to know and expect from us," said Richard Schuler, Publix vice president of distribution.
