X2 Computing, one of the UK's leading providers of
integrated picking solutions for e-fulfillment and
warehousing, has launched a new range of nesting trolleys.
Equipped with the latest tablet computers, scanners and lightweight all day batteries, the nesting trolleys will significantly enhance the productivity of picking staff by enabling them to fulfil multiple orders simultaneously.
According to Francis Davis, Sales and Marketing Director of X2 Computing: "This innovative and cost-effective nesting trolley will deliver significant efficiency gains throughout the e-fulfillment process. It will enable retailers to streamline their operations and provide customers with an even better service." The new trolleys are the smallest multi-tote picking solutions currently available and have been designed to nest together without having to remove the on-board IT. They take up to 50% less floorspace when nested and will deliver significant cost savings and efficiency gains by enabling retailers to extend home shopping to smaller stores and provide a faster local service to meet the needs of customers.
X2 has designed the new nesting trolleys from the ground up and they feature a number of innovations including a fifth, central wheel that gives a reduced turning circle and makes them easier to manoeuvre with just a single hand particularly when fully loaded. Each trolley carries six numbered totes on free running guide rails making them easy to handle even when fully loaded and ensure the greatest stability. Each trolley also has a hook for carrying the bags used to pack different product categories and a basket for storing cleaning supplies, security tag removers and other essential items.
