TGW Logistics installed automated warehousing solutions for four German industrial manufacturing companies - ERCO, Hermle, ZITEC and HECO To guarantee the performance of its automated warehouse for many years to come

TGW Logistics installed automated warehousing
solutions for four German industrial manufacturing
companies - ERCO, Hermle, ZITEC and HECO
To guarantee the performance of its automated warehouse for many years to come, architectural lighting specialist ERCO placed an order with TGW for an extensive modernisation of its logistics centre in Lüdenscheid. This included the installation of eight TGW Mustang mini-load machines in the tray warehouse as well as the modernisation of two sortation storage systems and a complex conveyor system.
A second retrofit was carried out for Hermle AG, which manufactures machinery for industry from its HQ in Gosheim. Similarly Hermle also sought to extend its warehouse capacity to be able to cope with the future demands on its business. In addition to automated materials handling equipment for this project, TGW also provided software and lifetime service support.
ZITEC produces mechanical spare parts for maintenance and engineering. As one of Europe's leading suppliers, its logistics requirement in relation to storage, order throughput times and picking rates had increased significantly. As a result, the company turned to TGW to implement an automated mini-load storage system at the company's headquarters in Plattling.
For the fourth project, TGW is working with PSI Logistics to implement a complete storage and order picking solution for German screw manufacturer, HECO at its site in Schramberg. Scheduled to go live in summer 2013, the €3.4m contract covers investment in an automated warehousing solution in addition to a comprehensive service package to ensure long-term functionality of the equipment.
