An awards event associated with the Manutention exhibition in Paris selected two articulated forklifts among the Manut 'innovations 'most remarkable' eight products to be exhibited.

A jury of industry experts chose Bendi's Mini Bendi and Flexi's AC VNA as recipients of the coveted 'Coup de Coeur Manut' Innovations' awards, which will be presented at the exhibition. Responding to the news, Bendi explained: “As predicted earlier in the year, European interest in the Bendi articulated fork truck range has grown considerably and led to this latest award.

“We're delighted the jury gave the Innovation award to the Mini Bendi recognising the truck was 'easy to operate, safe for the pedestrian operator and would help reduce the problem of lack of storage space in warehouses and factories'.”

Flexi Narrow Aisle sales and marketing director, John Maguire added: “It is extremely pleasing that the French intra-logistics industry has recognised the important role that articulated truck technology is playing across numerous sites in France and, indeed, the world.

“The articulated truck's ability to load like a counterbalance machine combined with its capacity to work comfortably both inside and outside and within very narrow aisles, has made it ever more popular with specifiers looking to abolish double handling and the costs - not only to their business but also to the environment - associated with running a bigger truck fleet than is necessary.”

Bendi also picked up the Innovation Award from Asda for the Mini Bendi, for freeing up congestion in pedestrian pick areas for the supermarket.
