Providing a safer, more productive alternative for manual handling tasks, Linde Material Handling has launched a new hand pallet truck which incorporates a brake and is capable of lifting loads up to 2500kg.

According to Linde, the effort involved moving the Pro Brake from stationary is one sixth of that compared to a similar machine without a brake fitted. The 'easy start' mechanism overcomes the initial inertia of a stationary truck, enabling the operator to get the laden machine moving quickly and effortlessly with no risk of a back injury.

The Pro Brake is easy to use - the parking brake gives the operator absolute control of the truck with no danger of overrunning, which is vital when handling heavy loads and especially important when operating on ramps. Small ground irregularities can be negotiated easily with minimal effort due to the design.

Jana Vitkova, warehouse product manager for Linde Material Handling commented: "The Pro Brake will have a big impact in many applications, contributing to safer, more productive manual handling." Linde has a network operating from 20 locations throughout the UK. Over 800 factory-trained service engineers operate from these regional centres providing local response to customer needs.
