Korean forklift company Doosan will show its new pedestrian pallet truck range, the LEDH series, at IMHX (Stand 19H120).
The model is said to be ideal for moving loads over short to medium distances and working in tight areas, and is designed and built at the Doosan warehouse factory in Germany.
Manoeuvrable and easy to operate; the low cost pallet trucks are designed to provide maximum productivity and flexibility. With standard features such as spring loaded flip down platforms, side safety bars, heavy duty construction and highly efficient load lift, the new series is expected to prove popular with intensive and light application users alike.
UK general sales manager, Paul Watson says: "Building rugged and reliable machines has allowed us to become a leading provider of materials handling equipment in the UK and these new trucks fit precisely into our range.
"It's great to be launching them at IMHX alongside our other new equipment and, as the UK has one of the most sophisticated materials handling markets in the world, we're sure they will get a great response." Adding another level of product sophistication without sacrificing reliability and simplicity is seen as the main goal for Doosan.
Paul adds: "We have been very fortunate to have a product range that has continued to strike the right balance between value, reliability and productivity. At the same time a number of major fleet operators have turned to us because we have a superb support infrastructure and a growing UK presence.
"It's going to be a challenging year for every industry, and customers are placing greater emphasis on cost and value.
Warehouse managers need to focus now more than ever on selecting the right application for their business, while managing their costs effectively. We have demonstrated our position as a credible alternative to the older, more traditional brands offering up a value product without sacrificing on quality." For a limited period Doosan is offering its new 7 Series reach truck at discounted rates in association with Aldermore Bank.
The offer applies to every new Doosan reach truck ordered before April 2013.
UK general sales manager, Paul Watson, believes the new reach truck offers an unbeatable combination of high productivity and operator comfort. "We are taking advantage of the latest technology, utilising the latest AC motors coupled with German Sauer-Danfoss controllers for advanced lifting and intelligent driving characteristics. With this introductory offer, we know the 7 Series reach truck offers great value and would be a great addition to any warehouse," he says.
Full warehouse range Built in line with Doosan's ethos and reputation for high quality, affordable machines, the 7 Series is the latest addition to the company's already extensive warehouse range, which also includes a number of pedestrian, ride-on and straddle stackers and pallet trucks.
Lifting productivity, safety and flexibility are the watchwords for the 7 Series, which includes a host of features as standard, including: Load Weight Indicator; Integral Side-shift; Tilting Carriage; 180 / 360 degree steering; Auto- Centring of Steer Wheel; Auto-Speed Reduction in Cornering; All AC Motors; Keypad Entry with Clear Graphical Interface.
Safety lies at the forefront of Doosan's reach truck design. On-board sensors detect and control the travel speeds while turning corners, with the load weight and fork heights displayed clearly on the preprogrammable display panel. All wheel braking allows for greater safety, while the innovative auto-centering of the steer wheel system, means there's no need to check the starting direction.
The high precision German manufactured mast with tilting carriage provides excellent stability and visibility in all conditions, while increased battery sizes result in greater residual capacities at full lift height.
The Doosan reach trucks feature load weight sensors, fork height indicators & height pre-selectors. These allow the reach truck to be programmed so the forks stop automatically at pre-selected rack heights for quicker and accurate operation.
