Hart Doors in place for beds retailer
17 September 2013
Hart Doors Systems has completed a contract to supply a high-speed door, a sectional overhead door and two inflatable dock seals for Steinhoff UK Group Properties at its 420,000 sq ft Magna Park, Warrington, distribution facility for its Harveys and Benson for Beds subsidiary.

Leroy McKenzie, Hart’s south east sales executive, says the brief was to alter an opening to accommodate high volumes of forklift traffic entering and leaving the building, to form a new opening to provide additional ingress to the building and create a sealed system at two openings to provide protection of goods being transferred to and from the building.
"For this interesting project we manufactured and installed one Hart Speedor Super, the high-speed, automatic, door as well as the docks seals and a sectional overhead door that required a vertical lift system up to 10 m high due the height of the building and the position of the newly installed racking systems,” explains Leroy.
Other special requirements included a two-way induction loop system to operate the Speedor Super so that operational staff have smooth access to and from the building, a dual traffic light system to safely control the traffic flow, entering and leaving the building, provision of accurate detailed drawings to enable supporting steelwork to be fabricated and installed and finally a need to match existing doors or interface with the façade of the building to ensure that the aesthetics of building were maintained.
