Clark trucks designed for tight spaces
14 October 2013
Clark has launched twelve models further expanding its warehousing range.
The reach truck range and low and high-lift pedestrian operated trucks has been considerably expanded and medium and high-lift picker trucks have been added to the program.
A prominent feature of the new warehousing technology machines is the robust mono-block design for mechanical strength and increased stability. The distinguishing feature of the electric motors, says Clark, is their constant high performance. Extended overlaps in the upright rails ensure a high residual load capacity for the pedestrian stackers.
"With the integration of energy efficient warehousing technology machines, we are setting new milestones as a full-range supplier,” says Clark Europe MD Egon Strehl.
The C RT 25 4-D ac an electric reach truck with multidirectional functions, and is designed for working in the tightest of spaces in internal warehousing. With a comfortable driver’s seat, load capacities of 2500kg can be steered in the transverse drive (for long objects) and longitudinal drive (as a reach truck).
The truck can turn around its own vertical axis, further saving on storage space. Motors with external excitation for sensitive maneuvering and clear-view uprights with lifting heights from 4,800 to 10,450 mm, among other features, ensure flexible and safe working for busy warehouse applications.
The C RT 13/16 K ac electric reach truck is also designed for the tightest of spaces. Despite its compact design (truck width 1,150mm), the driver’s position is spaciously designed. With load capacities of 1,300 or 1,600kg and lifting heights from 4,165 to 8,215mm, the C RT 13/16 K ac covers a broad range of uses. Standard equipment includes tilting carriage and integral sideshift for easy load handling and high residual capacities at all lift heights. Side battery removal ensures easy battery maintenance.
Operable without a forklift driving licence in most countries, the pedestrian operated counterbalanced C CBS 15 ac stacker is an effective alternative to the electric counterbalanced lift truck for occasional use – for example for the handling of white goods, in DIY stores, or for the tobacco industry. The C CBS 15 ac has load capacities of up to 1,500kg at lifting heights from 1,590 to 4,140mm and is used wherever support arm stackers cannot be utilised.
Thanks to improvements in the drive motor and electronics, the electric high-lift truck C PS 12H is said to provide optimum performance and high efficiency. Its compact dimensions (a width of 850mm) means it can be operated in all areas of industrial goods handling. The C PS 12H ac has a load capacity of 1,200kg, while the triplex upright allows loads to be increased to 1,400kg at lifting heights of 1,565 to 4,565mm. In addition, it can be adapted for long shift operations, as large batteries (24V 375Ah) can also be installed.
The C SPT 20 ac ride on pallet truck with driver’s cab and steering wheel, can operate at speeds of 12km/h (7.5mph), it is ideally suitable for rapid goods handling. For example, when unloading lorries, the floating axle compensates for any surface unevenness. With a width of 790mm, the machine is also suitable for block stacking. The C SPTi 20 ac is a double load version. The electric low-lift truck C RPT 30 ac (with a top speed of 8.5 km/h) is equipped with a multifunctional joystick and sprung driver's seat and has been designed for warehouse operations involving long distance travel.
Clark is launching four new low-lift / medium-lift / high-lift picker trucks, models C OP01 ac to C OP04 ac. The driver's cab platform height ranges from 1,200 to 9,000mm depending on the model. The picker trucks combine the load capacities of 600 to 1,000kg with excellent performance and high speed while transporting loads. The picking heights range from 2,800 to 10,600mm. Applications include order picking in high-bay warehouses as well as picking packaged goods at low or high levels.
