Jungheinrich UK Systems & Projects division appoints business development manager
28 February 2014
Jungheinrich UK has announced the appointment of Mike Young as the new Systems & Projects Division business development manager.
Mike specialises in the design and implementation of fully- and semi-automated intralogistics systems and, over the course of a 20-year career, has held senior positions with a number of leading materials handling equipment suppliers.
Mike Young said: "Very often the ability to maximise the warehouse’s potential comes not just from the technology used but by the way it is incorporated into the footprint of the warehouse facility and integrated with existing processes. The creative thinking of the equipment supplier can prove to be the key to an optimal warehouse process and I look forward to working with Jungheinrich’s many clients to help develop the optimum systems for their business.”
Steve Richmond, director of Jungheinrich UK’s Systems & Projects Division, added: "In the future the most successful companies in the materials handling industry will be those that can offer a total solutions capability to their customers, whether that be a manual, semi of fully automated system. The Systems & Projects operation is a key area for growth and development for Jungheinrich and Mike’s appointment further underpins our commitment and investment in this area of our business. Mike is a fantastic addition to our team and I know he will enjoy significant success with our organisation.”
