Goods to man picking
11 March 2014
Making economic use of building height and occupying only a small footprint, SSI Schaefer’s LogiMat is the provides a space-saving solution for storing and picking high volumes of small parts. It can be installed and used as a standalone unit or integrated as a component of a broader picking regime within the distribution centre.

The system is modular and can be varied in height to fit into almost any warehouse environment. It works on the 'goods-to-man' principle, delivering trays of required product to picking operators, eliminating walk time and enabling increased picking productivity and performance.
Its design is similar to an oversized drawer cabinet with two stacks of trays (one in the front and one in the rear) and between those stacks a lift operates which extracts individual trays as required. It occupies only a small footprint, providing a 90% space saving compared to conventional static solutions.
