01 May 2014
Systems integrator Witron has boosted sales and workforce over the past year.
Turnover increased to 265 million euros in 2013, representing growth of more than 10% compared to the previous year.
With a 35% increase in sales growth, Witron subsidiary FAS (FörderAnlagen Systeme) made a significant contribution towards the positive earnings of the Witron Group.
Moreover, the Group increased the number of people it employs. For the first time in its 40 year existence, Witron reached 2,000 employees in 2013.
With 96 new trainees who started their apprenticeship in September 2013, the company has a total of 218 trainees in 14 different job areas.
Nearly all of the mechanical elements for Witron systems are now being designed and manufactured at the FAS mechanics facility.
In terms of verticals, the general contractor points to strong performance in food retail and e-commerce, among other sectors.
The company also expanded in the French, Scandinavian and Asian markets.
The company says: "The start to 2014 was also very promising. At the beginning of the new year, three new projects with well-known customers in Scandinavia, Southern Europe and North America have already been realised.”
