Management revamp

Michele Dematteis has been promoted to managing director. Michele was previously finance director. David Lindfield has been promoted to Executive Chairman. David was previously managing director. He will now oversee global sales.

Malcolm Dooley has been promoted to Sovex Malaysia MD. Malcolm was previously production director. He will now oversee production in the Sovex Malaysia factory. Neil Durr has been promoted to finance director, having previously been finance manager.

Paul Morris has been promoted to operations manager. He was previously installation/projects manager.

Michele Dematteis joined Sovex in 2008 before which he was a VC appointed director on the board of several companies providing strategic advice and guidance. Michele has over 20 years’ experience in SME manufacturing and distribution including 9 years as MD of a packaging manufacturer.

David Lindfield said: "Michele has not only helped to grow the business over the last few years but has also helped to expand our range of preventive and reactive services we offer our customers.”

Michele Dematteis added: ”I look forward to continuing to build on the success the management team have achieved at Sovex over the last three years. This will allow David to concentrate on growing the business globally on a strategic level.”

David Lindfield will be working closely with Malcolm Dooley in his new role managing Sovex Malaysia. Malcolm has previously been responsible for production in the UK factory, which will now be under the remit of Paul Morris as operations manager.

Malcolm Dooley said: "It’s an exciting time for Sovex, the first vehicle loaders came off the production line in Malaysia, in June 2013. I have an excellent team employed there, expertly led by our general manager, Mr Loh Shar chih, and finance manager, Ms Jenifer Teh, both of whom excel in their own fields. The roll out of new machines, have been successfully installed in 21 depots across Germany, and in various depots around the UK.”

Neil Durr joined Sovex in 2012 as finance manager, before which he was financial controller at Charles Owen. Neil has extensive experience of working for global SMEs who have experienced high growth.
