Linde shortlisted for award at FLTA
01 December 2015
Leading global industrial truck manufacturer, Linde Material Handling, has been shortlisted for a major award at the 2016 Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) Awards.

The annual awards, run by the FLTA, represent the industry's foremost recognition of engineering and design excellence. Held to celebrate the best companies within the fork lift truck industry, the awards aim to set the bar for higher standards throughout the industry.
Linde’s intelligent operator-assist system for reach trucks, Dynamic Mast Control (DMC), has been shortlisted for the innovation award, which aims to recognise original products, services and initiatives that have made a defining contribution to the design and use of fork lift trucks throughout the year.
Linde’s DMC system aims to minimise mast oscillations and the deflection that can occur with higher fork lift heights, through countering the movements of the reach carriage. This automatic system uses an energy-efficient linear actuator that allows operators to work safely and efficiently at higher lift-heights.
Linde’s innovation responds to the recent market trend of having higher storage racks of over eight metres in warehouses and distribution centres. Without the correct system to counter mast oscillations at these heights, operators can cause damage to the truck rack, the truck itself or can displace loads, making it difficult to retrieve goods efficiently.
Stuart Sims, Head of Marketing at Linde said: “We are extremely happy to have been shortlisted for the innovation award and this nomination goes to show Linde’s dedication to developing new products and services that can increase efficiency for our clients. Our DMC system helps to improve productivity in the warehouse, allowing operators to store pallet loads faster and therefore minimising waiting times. Pallet loads can therefore be stored more accurately and with greater safety, reducing the risk of damage to trucks, racking and loads.”
The awards will be held at the International Centre in Shropshire on the 27th of February 2016.
