BAE Systems awards new-build warehouse contract

Construction firm Pochin’s has won a £10.8m contract to develop a 164,000 sq ft warehouse for BAE Systems. The facility is adjacent the F-35 jet manufacturing site in Samlesbury, Lancashire.

The BAE Defence Logistics Centre project involves the design and construction of a new build distribution warehouse, a storage mezzanine and an office pod.
Pochin’s is also working on the design and construction of a warehouse unit, vehicle maintenance unit, gym building and associated works adjacent to the existing T J Morris (Home Bargains) distribution facility in Liverpool. This project with the retailer is worth £10.4m.
