21 January 2016
Pallet Racking is considered work equipment by the Provision and Use Of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). Therefore it should be independently inspected by competent and trained inspectors on an annual basis.

The purpose is to find any damage that is causing a risk to safety as set by the European Standard EN15635. The Rack Group, leading suppliers of this service supply this in a Red, Amber, Green format so you can schedule the severity of repairs and keep the pallet racking safe and fit for purpose.
But what happens to any damage that occurs straight after an inspection takes place? Is it just left at high risk for another 12 months? The potential of a racking collapse increasing every day?
Rack Training supply specific and thorough training courses in pallet racking damage inspection, designed to supply the knowledge and confidence to identify damage and provide the correct precautions to ensure increased safety.
Being able to have more frequent scheduled checks in place provides dramatically increased safety all year round, it also provides the opportunity to stagger costs of repairs throughout the year.
