Salver service for spares
08 March 2016
As part of a unique solution to handle component parts for a major manufacturer in the UK automotive industry, SSI Schaefer has supplied nineteen thousand plastic trays to Gebhardt European Conveyor Systems.

The trays are designed to support potentially unconveyable plastic and cardboard boxes and are the first of their type to be supplied by the manufacturer for use in the UK automotive market.
Each heavy duty tray is made from injection-moulded polypropylene to a bespoke design with a reinforced base which gives it a capacity of 70kg. The two sizes supplied are designed to accommodate and convey 800x600 mm and 1200 x 800mm BDC containers with those carrying the larger sizes being mirror-welded to provide the extra capacity.
