Safety award winner to speak at Safer Logistics
12 December 2016
Andrew Drewary Consultancy won the coveted Safety Award at The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Award for Excellence.

Andrew Drewary CMILT, consultant collision analyst, will present at the Safer Logistics seminar theatre at The Health & Safety Event, which takes place from March 21-23, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Andrew will speak on March 22 at 13.25.
Andrew Drewary Consultancy won The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Award for its work with Owens Group, which was carried out in response to an increase in depots for the haulier.
This expansion highlighted a number of challenges which needed to be resolved including: inconsistent reporting, incomplete records, diminished controls and third party issues all leading to potential and actual cost exposures.
A zero-tolerance approach was implemented towards the reporting of every collision so that full investigation could be completed. This was then supported by manager and employee engagement, strict timescales for reporting and escalation, driver and employee interviews, in-cab video and telematic analysis, policy and training, and campaigns around road safety and vulnerable road users. This comprehensive approach has resulted in substantial savings across a range of areas and significantly improves their safety performance.
500 of the UK’s leading professionals in logistics, transport and operations gathered at the Lancaster London Hotel in October for The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s Annual Awards Dinner.
CILT’s Annual Awards are designed to recognise achievement and to encourage the highest standards and a professional approach to the practice of logistics, transport and operations.
Other winners on the night included: Jaguar Land Rover, UPS, Transport for Greater Manchester, Argos and Professor Alan Braithwaite, Chairman, LCP Consulting.
