Rajapack boosts storage space with a quickly built temporary warehouse
04 April 2017
Bedford-based packaging company Rajapack was rapidly filling its main warehouse with a huge range of packing products - almost 4,000 different lines and still growing - and needed a storage solution.
Packaging specialist Rajapack delivers packaging supplies so needs to keep goods safe and undamaged in storage prior to transit. With such a large volume of stock to store, and volumes increasing at a daily rate, it meant the company could not take on any new contracts.
To tackle this impasse, Rajapack’s head of logistics, Simon Howes, investigated Aganto’s temporary warehouse buildings.
Aganto says: “We could quickly provide a cost-effective solution, and at a length of hire that could be extended at a later date. This was key to Rajapack’s growth strategy and provided an advantage over traditional buildings that was attractive, along with the additional space.”
Aganto suggested a building 15m wide x 30m long x 6.2m eave height, with insulated roof and steel walls - creating an additional 400 pallet spaces.
Aganto continues; “We have the flexibility to create bespoke solutions whatever the problem may be. Site complications due to the ground conditions meant that getting the correct fixing into the service would need additional ground works. The experienced technical site team helped Rajapack avoid the cost of laying a new base by designing a bespoke solution, saving them over £15,000 and many weeks in time saved to complete the project. Rajapack were extremely satisfied with how the project was managed and implemented, with Simon giving us this video testimonial. You can see this here - http://bit.ly/2nuUCs2.”
