First on-site compliance certificate
10 July 2017
SWIE-Lift of Port Talbot, South Wales has become the first company in the UK to achieve the national certificate of compliance from the FLTA.

The award-winning Mitsubishi dealership underwent a rigorous on-site audit, which required compliance with more than 100 different criteria, covering the company’s records and procedures, as well as its safety practices.
FLTA quality manager Lee Medway carried out the audit. He explains why the process is so important to SWIE’s customers: “The audit is designed to give customers real peace of mind. As an audited company, they know that SWIE has measured up to an industry-led health check, has comprehensive public and product liability insurance, operates impressive environmental policies and has equal opportunities procedures.
“SWIE’s certificate is tangible evidence that this is a company working to nationally agreed criteria – clearly differentiating it from unaccredited suppliers.”
The certificate was presented to Bernard Colston, MD of SWIE-Lift at its impressive Baglan Energy Park premises by Zoe Ferriday, chair of the FLTA’s Quality Committee.
