Accurate temperature control
Following Pedigree Wholesale’s agreement to distribute Nature’s Menu (Europe’s largest range of natural and raw pet foods) to the independent pet trade, to ensure accurate temperature control of the products, Pedigree’s operations manager, Darren Willetts, decided to use Olivo chest type containers mounted on feet to fit in with palletised operations.
Delivering these frozen products to many small retailers makes this very much a “multi-drop” operation but Willetts says that even with many openings of the containers during the day the products always hold their temperature with no problems.
