When a large retail customer contracted Clipper Logistics for a new port-centric distribution centre, the independent logistics specialist turned to Davicon to provide a space-creating mezzanine.
Within the facility at Wynyard Park in the Tees Valley, Davicon created almost fifty thousand square meters of additional storage, handling two million items per week. Upgrades to the system will allow future capacity to increase to three million items per week.
The three level, 14,600m2 per floor, mezzanine was constructed with the appropriate fire strategy in place. Working with the main contractor, the mezzanine floor was constructed and installed in 20 weeks, two weeks ahead of schedule.
