Aerial services

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

AFI has licensed Aerial and Handling Services of Betchworth, Surrey, to further develop and sell the WorkZone range of safety and security devices.

The agreement covers SanctuaryZone, which prevents the operator of a mobile elevating work platform from being crushed; KeyZone, which prevents unauthorised use of a machine; and SmartZone, which controls and monitors the use of powered access.

AFI director Nick Higgins said that AFI’s “primary business is powered access machine hire, sales and training, and we recognised that the WorkZone range can be further developed if we transferred the licence to a company with the skill sets required for this type of work”.
