Aganto to showcase on-site storage solution at IMHX ahead of Brexit deadline

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

For 2019, visitors have plenty to try out on the Aganto stand; 3D buildings will be brought to life with augmented reality (AR), and you can take a look inside a temporary warehouse with a virtual reality experience.

Aganto’s marketing manager, Hazel Lowe explains: “We are making use of new technologies like AR to enhance the buying process. It’s not always easy to visualise buildings in situ, so AR is really quick and useful tool for achieving this. Aside from all things digital though… the real focus for Aganto at this year’s show will be on stockpiling and helping businesses manage growth.

“The challenges around Brexit and economic uncertainty were topical for last IMHX in 2016, a few months after the vote to leave the EU. Now in 2019, with the ‘Halloween’ Brexit deadline just around the corner, the necessity to be flexible on costs and space is even greater – deal or no deal. I’m sure a lot of visitors to the event will be acutely aware how the expense of off-site storage has reached new heights recently, so our practical solutions offer a great opportunity for warehousing and logistics professionals to mitigate this risk.”

In addition to the on-stand AR/VR demos, Aganto is offering free planning for enquiries and orders placed at the show. Visitors to the stand will also be able to try their luck in guessing the number of foam piggy-banks and pick up branded goodies.

As one of the most important events in the intralogistics calendar, the International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) runs over four days and is the largest of its type in the UK. This year will be the company’s third time exhibiting at the triennial event, which has always been well attended by key players in the logistics and supply chain market. IMHX 2019 takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 23-26 September. Stand 19H128
