Bespoke conveyor designed

There is no such thing as a standard design in conveyors so Rusmail works hard to maximise the spec to fit the parameters of a customer’s application.

When creating a solution for a Midlands based metal casting firm, Rusmail studied the environment and the ergonomics to come up with a safe, adaptable, robust and mobile conveyor unit.

The design features took account of fact it would need to handle metal castings, with up to 3 on the conveyor at any time. The unit load per casting is around 10Kg but the conveyor was rated at 750Kg to enable it to operate in a harsh conditions.

The heavy duty conveyor required a 5mm thick bed and a 6mm thick smooth rubber belt. Heavy duty drive and tail end rollers were fitted and the drive powered by a 0.75Kw motor with Duplex chains.

To achieve the aim of a fully mobile unit it featured cast iron wheels with hardwearing polyurethane tread.

To ensure ultra safe operation the conveyor had an auto-restart function provided via concealed photo-electric cells and several individual start-stop control switches.
