Better workforce management and significant cost saving
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED logistics firm Buffaload has achieved 1% off payroll cost with the implementation of HFX’s Imperago Time & Attendance and Rostering system, representing a saving of around £105,000 per annum.
Prior to purchasing the HFX Imperago system Buffaload did not have a Time & Attendance and Rostering system. All processes were manual and data was manually entered into its Sage payroll.
So in 2019 Buffaload decided it was necessary to modernise its systems and procedures. After investing in a HR and Admin system the firm realised it needed a Time & Attendance system to complete the workforce software solution and decided HFX was the best fit.
The two main reasons for choosing HFX were:
- HFX Imperago’s advanced rostering capability meant that it was able to incorporate the mix of complex shift patterns and rules at Buffaload.
- HFX’s integration with Buf

The HFX system has brought many benefits:
- HFX’s rostering module incorporates the mix of complex shift patterns and rules at Buffaload.
- HFX integrates with Buffaload’s HR and Payroll system.
- Huge time savings in payroll preparation. This has been reduced from 4 days to 1.5 days.
- Buddy punching eliminated by implementing the Face Reader.
- Punctuality has significantly improved now there is a secure and accurate clocking system.
- Automatic scheduled reports sent to managers weekly saves considerable manager time.
