Bollard sleeve protects assets

Addgards have developed the Bollard Sleeve to slide over existing steel bollards to protect against weathering and erosion.

The sleeves are made from durable polyethylene that won’t fade, scrape or chip like powder coated paint. The Bollard Sleeve is said to be an easy and cost effective solution to protect steel bollards while also increasing visibility and eliminating any maintenance or touch up’s to paint.

‘Claire Flynn, sales manager at Addgards states: “On our initial visits to sites we noticed a lot of premises had a ‘typical’ bollard that took a lot of hits and scrapes damaging both the vehicles and the bollard. On investigation we found the bollard was ‘below the sight line’ of the driver and effectively was invisible to the driver when reversing or turning. By simply adding a taller sleeve to the existing bollard we made the bollard more visible, safer and it looked better and a more professional finish.”

The sleeves are supplied in yellow and black but can also be produced in a range of colours with reflective tape. The sleeves can be cut to fit and are supplied with a range of adhesive backed foam strips to ensure a tight fit. Suitable for bollards from 100mm to 179mm. Can also fit a 75mm inner steel pole.
