Armstrong World Industries has installed Efaflex SST high-speed spiral design doors across seven units.
Simon Pulford, plant manager at the firm's Stafford facility says: "We are delighted with Efaflex. This has been a phased expansion and the classic high-speed spiral design door has been an asset to our business. Our warehouse doors are in constant use as a busy exporter of products abroad. The Efaflex doors have helped us secure our premises as well as ensuring the safety of our operatives. We use a fork lift truck mounted transmitter which allows our drivers to activate the door opening. This is flexible and can be set to a 10 second to 5 minute delay – perfect for our needs."
The SST has door opening speeds of up to 4 metres per second. Backed with a full service and maintenance programme, they are the product of choice for many customers across industry sectors with clients including BMW, Marks and Spencer, Ricoh and Costco.
