BYD gains IFOY nomination

Following its success in winning the International Forklift of the Year (IFOY) award in 2016, in the category for counter balanced forklifts up to 3.5 tonnes, BYD has again been nominated for this year’s IFOY award.

The BYD nominee in the Counter Balanced Truck category is the new ECB50, a 5 tonne pure electric forklift powered by an Iron-Phosphate battery. It is said to be able to work non-stop for at least 6 hours before charging and is capable of being fully recharged in under 3 hours.

Th company adds: “With 50% more working time than its direct lLithium power competitors, it is able to effectively replace gas, diesel or lead-acid machines for indoors and outdoors use.”
