Check compliance risk

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Alcumus SafeContractor, has extended its offering beyond health and safety with the launch of SafePQQ. The new product provides organisations greater visibility of the compliance risks within supply chains.

SafePQQ provides a way of verifying contractor commitment to best practice and reduces the challenges of obtaining and managing supply chain data.

Built to include the common question sets defined within PAS91, an experienced in-house SafePQQ team collects and verifies information covering issues such as finance, environment, modern slavery, and anti-bribery.

Contractors sign up and submit their details once a year. This is designed to make the procurement process more manageable and reduce the need for them to provide compliance information to various clients at different times to win new business opportunities.

The new product gives organisations confidence that they have the most up to date information on their supply chain compliance, helping them make informed decisions on their procurement choices.

Gemma Archibald, Managing Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, said: “There is an increasing need for organisations to ensure their supply chains are compliant across all trading practices. This can be very daunting for businesses to manage but is absolutely necessary given the risks associated with non-compliance.

“SafeContractor has 20 years of experience helping businesses manage their complex supply chains ensuring they are safe to partner with, so it was a natural step for us to extend our offering beyond core health and safety topics. By outsourcing the entire PQQ process to us, we’ll be able to save our clients’ time, money and effort. We are very excited about this next step in our journey of building a better working world for everyone: one that’s safer, healthier and stronger.”
