Chemical spill training
According to NCEC – the UK’s National Chemical Emergency Centre – when it comes to dealing with spills, preparation, planning and training are key to an effective and efficient response.
A spillage is, at the very least, an inconvenience; when the quantity is small or the substance is not very hazardous, people don’t think twice about dealing with the problem. But what happens if the substance is 500 litres of something highly flammable, toxic or corrosive?
Chemical Spill Response is a one-day training course presented by NCEC to provide the knowledge to those working with chemicals to be able identify the hazards and determine the risks associated with a spillage and to provide a framework on which to build an effective spill response plan.
