Chess WMS for Kuehne + Nagel
Chess Logistics Technology has completed implementation of a new WMS for Kuehne + Nagel.
The system is being used to manage storage and distribution of food products on behalf of Spirit Pub Company, across two multi-temperature depots with a total combined space of 18,000m2.
The Chess system forms part of an integrated ordering and logistics execution solution which includes interfaces with ordering systems used by Spirit and finance systems operated by Kuehne + Nagel. The Chess system is responsible for creation of supplier purchase orders and for the capture, processing and invoicing of sales orders. The system also interfaces with vehicle-based delivery solutions installed in the Kuehne + Nagel 60-vehicle distribution fleet.
