Cold store expansion
A £4m project to expand frozen food firm Ardo UK’s cold store at Charing in Kent, is underway. The work, which will be undertaken by food and storage construction specialist, Chalcroft, will increase the size of the facility by more than 20%.
In addition to providing assistance with the design and planning application, Chalcroft will help Ardo UK to integrate the new extension with the existing cold store, installing sensor controlled energy efficient LED lighting and a space efficient mobile racking system.
As part of this latest project, Chalcroft will also construct new loading docks, designed to accommodate double-decker trailers.
