Continental fitted
The Toyota Traigo80 electric forklift is fitted as standard with Continental solid tire SC20+.
All Traigo80 forklift trucks ordered since April 2018 come fitted with the Continental solid tire SC20+ as standard. The decision to change the tire came in response to feedback from the market requesting more resilient and high durable tires for the electric counterbalance range. This applies in particular to the Traigo80 range as it is meant for more intensive applications indoors as well as outdoors.
The service and maintenance costs as well as the energy consumption of forklift trucks equipped with SC20+ are lower. The tyre comes with a compound that combines high mileage with low rolling resistance. It is hard-wearing and puncture resistant and is suited to highly intensive application indoors as well as outdoors on uneven surfaces.
Telehandlers
Continental has also signed a deal with JLG to be the solid tyre provider for JLG’s telehandlers for the next five years. During this period, Continental's TeleMaster is given priority as the solid tire for all JLG telehandlers manufactured and sold.
The solid OTR tyre was created in a joint development effort of Continental and JLG. It comes with low rolling resistance reducing heat build-up. In addition, the tyre offers a rugged tread to handle rough surfaces at worksites.
