Control spiralling bakery costs

L.A.C. Conveyor Systems exhibited several conveyors at this year’s PPMA Show including a prototype spiral bakery conveyor.

The result of a collaboration with Intralox, the equipment uses it DirectDrive System to provides a whole host of benefits over conventional systems, including reduced operational and maintenance downtime.

Being driven from the edge, the belt is totally tensionless and product movement is reduced to between 5-10mm. There is increased throughput and the potential for less power use. Belts weigh 50% less than stainless steel alternatives and are reported to last longer.
