Efficient LED lighting
When PPS relocated to larger premises, the leading supplier of returnable transit packaging installed an efficient and environmentally friendly LED lighting system.
Andy Flynn, operations director for PPS, commments: “Having understood the benefits and cost savings that we would incur, it was also important to review this from a health and safety angle. Poor workplace illumination could lead to accidents, ill health and fatigue in workers. LED lamps emit a bright white light that provides a safe working environment for our staff who operate machinery 24 hours a day.”
After completing the installation PPS has reduced the CO2 emissions by 47438kg per year. Full return on investment is expected in two years.
